The DuPage County town of Wheaton, home of Wheaton College, has two stops on the commuter rail line, the western end of which terminates beyond the Fox River in Elburn. Brian Mork’s proposal for Wheaton illustrates the density anticipated in 2109 as today’s post-1945 suburbs contract towards and densify historic and new towns located around or adjacent to rail transit.
