Diana Reising Dempsey
Uptown is a north side lakefront neighborhood that stretches east-west from Lakeshore Drive to Broadway. Diana Reising Dempsey proposes new three-to-six story mixed-use buildings to the west on existing blocks around the CTA stops at Wilson and at Lawrence; six-to-twelve story residential buildings and public spaces to the east on newly developed Chicago blocks between Marine Drive and Lakeshore Drive (re-designed as a boulevard); and three story neighborhood infill buildings on the existing blocks in between.
