Lewis University

Fall 2006 Graduate Urban Design Studio

In addition to a proposed campus master plan, a portion of The Lewis University Campus Plan and Traditional Village District Proposal proposes a new walkable mixed-use village on currently vacant land owned by and adjacent to the University, which is located in Will County southwest of Chicago, across the Des Plaines River from Lockport. At approximately 130 acres, the proposed new village has a projected minimum population of about 2000 people at a density of about 6 dwelling units per acre.
